Sosh 5 Fc claimed
their win against CCT FC on the Students Residence League, at Tshwane
University of Technology (TUT) Soshanguve stadium, on Saturday afternoon.
Sosh 5 FC moved to the 3rd position on the TUT Res League
log standing, as they only managed to secure 6 points from four matches, losing
their first game by 2-0 against Student Town Fc on the second round of the
league.
The match’s first goal came in the 35th minute of the game
through the courtesy of Thabang Mokoena who was later awarded the Man of the
Match title. CCT Fc dominated and controlled the first half of the match,

Sosh 5 side never set back, tables sudden turned while CCT was still in their comfort zone. Sosh 5 were competitive towards the home team as they managed to score two goals in the early minutes of the second half.

Sosh 5 continued to dominate the second half, securing an
average ball possession of 55% against 45% of CCT Fc. Sosh 5 desperately needed
to claim 3 points from this game in order to stand a chance to claim the TUT
Res League 2023 season.
“The team was not comfortable in the first half as we couldn’t
control our passes, and we didn’t keep our positions and the shape. But the
technical team managed to observe and scan the game, so we managed to implement new strategies that’s
why we decided to play our balls wide at all times and here again we won,” said
CCT head coach, Thato Mokoena .
Sosh 5 started their TUT Student Residence league poor with
the claiming unpleasing results from their last three pre-season games. The
team managed to draw only one match and lost two from the three played. In the

Sosh 5 side will face the Sosh 2 on the 03rd September 2023 at TUT Stadium Bremely. Sosh 5
FC needs to claim 3 points on their next match with Sosh 2 FC to stand a chance
to claim the TUT Res League 2023 season.
